The Party Crashers have had a full day in the Valley – and it’s not even 5 o’clock yet. We started the morning at the home of NutshellMail (otherwise known as “The Nut House”) in Atherton. It’s an amazing place, complete with pool, guesthouse, four bedrooms and $20K worth of Tele-conferencing equipment (for those times when you have to feel like you’re REALLY there).
Around 10:30, Sloane and I headed over to the new Facebook offices in Palo Alto to have lunch with Randi Zuckerberg (Randi handles Marketing at FB and is sister to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg). She gave us a short tour, and then we sat down for what turned into a brainstorming session in the lovely outdoor courtyard. Fun Fact: All the offices and conference rooms at the New Facebook offices are named after popular internet memes. Here’s me – “I’m On A Boat“.
After hanging with Randi (thanks Lovely Lady for the invite!), we headed over to one of Microsoft’s satellite offices in downtown SF to demo a prototype of Windows Phone 7. Thanks again to Anand Iyer for taking time out of his busy schedule to meet with us. Here are some pics of Sloane checking out the not yet released Windows Phone 7 and the two of us at Facebook this afternoon.
Tonight is SummerMash SF – Hope to see you there!!!
